 Faq Q. In what category should I enter my piece? Q. How many winners are there per category? A. Please enter in to the category or categories that you feel are most appropriate for your piece. Often there is more than one category that fits each entry and many pieces are entered in to more than one category. Q. What if I can't find a category that fits my piece? A. All work is different. If you don't think there is a specific category suitable for your entry, please enter your work in to the Miscellaneous category. If our judges feel that your entry is more appropriate for a specific category, they will move the entry to the suitable category. We are always looking to refine and update our judging categories, so if there is a category you would like to see, please email us a suggestion at info@tellyawards.com. A. There may be several winners in a certain category or there may be none. Winners are chosen based on the content of their piece; there are not a set number of winners per category. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work-entries do not compete against each other-rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Q. Can I enter the same piece in several different categories? A. Many of our entries are entered in to multiple categories. You may enter a piece in as many categories as are appropriate for each entry, and your entry will be judged separately for each category entered. Please note that the entry fee is due for each category entered. Q. Who are the judges? A. All judges are top advertising and production professionals. Most importantly, all of our judges are past Telly Award winners with an interest in upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Q. Can I get judges' comments about my piece? A. Currently, we do not release detailed commentary or individual judges scoring for entries. As the Telly Awards is a large contest with over 14,000 annual entries, there are simply too many entries to be able to do that for each entry. However, as we have received many requests for this information, we are working on a program to determine the best way to share our judge's feedback individually with each entrant. Q. My piece ran on an affiliate of NBC; can I still enter? A. Yes, you can enter if your piece has run on an affiliate or series of affiliates of any of the five major networks. Pieces are not eligible if they have run nationally on any of the five major networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX or CW). Q. Where can I find a list of winners? A. All Silver Winners are listed on our website. Simply click here to view our winners page. Q. How can I get duplicate award statuettes? A. When entrants are notified that they have been chosen as winners, they will receive the appropriate forms to purchase their acceptance trophies as well as to order duplicate trophies. Each winner is able to order as many duplicates as they would like for clients, team members or anyone else who participated in the creation of the winning piece. To be sure only Telly winners are able to receive trophies, only your company (the company that entered the winning piece) can order an award. If a client wishes to order duplicate awards they must either order through the entering company or get an order form with the appropriate entry number from the entering company. I won a Telly award in a past year, how can I get a new statuette for that award? A. If you still have a copy of the duplicate order form, please fill one out, attach the appropriate payment, and send it to our address: Telly Awards, 1212 Bath Avenue, Suite 301, Ashland, KY 41101. If you do not have the appropriate forms, please email us at info@tellyawards.com and let us know what year and what entry you would like to purchase a statuette for and we will send you the appropriate materials. Alternatively you can call us at (212) 675-3555. Q. How long does it take to get my awards? A. Each statuette is custom produced. We produce statuettes in the order that orders are received. Typically, statuettes will be shipped to you approximately four weeks from the date that we receive your order. Q.Can I change the information that I would like to appear on my statuettes and certificates? A. You may have anything you would like engraved on your statuettes or printed on your certificates.
